Magnesium+ For the evening - Information
Magnesium at bedtime
Magnesium is involved in a large number of biochemical reactions in the body and is needed to activate more than 300 different enzymes! Magnesium is perhaps best known for its effect on muscle and nervous system function. Magnesium calms the nervous system and has a muscle relaxing effect that benefits the body in the evening before a good night's sleep.
Magnesium bisglycinate
In Magnesium+ Till välsen we have chosen magnesium bisglycinate as the source, an organic form with high bioavailability. Magnesium is here bound to the amino acid glycine. Glycine has many functions and, among other things, functions as a neurotransmitter in the brain with calming and sleep-promoting properties.
The diet is not always rich in magnesium
Good sources of magnesium in the diet are nuts, green leafy vegetables, whole grains, almonds, beans, potatoes, fish, meat and dairy products. However, it is important to remember that chemical fertilizers prevent plants from absorbing magnesium from the soil, which means that the magnesium content varies greatly depending on the origin of the plants. Magnesium absorption can also be reduced by simultaneous intake of foods rich in phytic acid and/or very low protein intake. As if this were not enough, coffee, tea, soda and other diuretics, such as diuretic medication, risk stimulating the excretion of magnesium in the urine. Heavy alcohol consumption can also be another factor in magnesium loss, which can cause a deficiency of the mineral. There are also other factors that can increase our magnesium needs, such as hard exercise, heavy sweating and stress. In other words, there are a number of factors that can significantly increase the body's need for magnesium.
Supplemented with GABA and chamomile
GABA ( gamma-aminobutyric acid) is a substance found naturally in the body that acts as a calming neurotransmitter in the brain. Chamomile is a calming herb that contributes to relaxation and healthy sleep.
P-5-P
The active form of vitamin B6 is called P-5-P. Magnesium and B6 interact in the body in several ways, including for the normal functioning of the nervous system.
