The body's mucous membranes are of great importance in areas such as the eyes, mouth, abdomen, urinary tract, respiratory tract, and gastrointestinal system. Healthy mucous membranes with a well-functioning production of secretions often play a crucial role in the body's well-being.

The functions of mucous membranes in the body are many:

• They protect underlying organs and act as a barrier against harmful external influences

• They produce secretions that are needed for digestion, among other things

• They affect the metabolism in the body as most nutrients are absorbed and selected via, among other things, the intestinal mucosa, which in turn has a strong effect on our immune system.

Buckthorn is a dietary supplement with sea buckthorn extract which contributes to the normal function of the mucous membranes when there is a feeling of dryness in the eyes, mouth and genitals.

Buckthorn also contains:

• D-biotin, the naturally occurring and bioactive form of biotin that contributes to the normal function of mucous membranes

• The antioxidants Quercetin and Rutin from buckwheat

• Rosemary extract that preserves the highest possible quality of the oil and prevents oxidation in the capsule

Recommended daily intake for adults: 2 capsules daily with meals for 2 months. Then maintenance dose of 1 capsule daily. If necessary, increase to 2 capsules daily.
